| We
are always looking for dedicated firefighters to serve
our communities.
The Centennial Fire

They respond to emergency calls when their pager goes
off. They are paid by the hour when they are actually
called upon for emergency.

In addition to the hourly pay, $3500 is set aside each
year for a pension. A firefighter must stay with the
distrcit for at least 10 years in order to collect the
pension. Vesting starts at 60% at 10 years of service
and goes up 4% per year until it reaches 100% at 20
years.
Our hiring process includes a background
check, agility test, and an interview process. All new
firefighters must complete Firefighter I & Firefighter
II courses which are 130 hours in length, and an Emergency
Medical Technician course, which is 110 hours in length.
